Date: July 1, 2023

Cost: $100

Range Location: 2900 W Gunsite Rd., Paulden, AZ 86334

Welcome to the 2023 NRL Hunter Season. This match is located at historic Gunsite in Paulden Arizona. Gunsite is a 3200-acre facility with onsite pro shop, gunsmith, and camping area. As this is a major training facility EYEPRO will be required at all times on the range side. Failure to comply will lead to dismissal from the match. Gates will be locked each morning so bring what you need for the day as Gunsite has multiple training programs going on during the same timeline.

This match will provide realistic hunting scenarios from natural terrain in Arizona high desert environment. Target distances ranging from 100 to 900 yards, with average distance of 550 yards. Every stage will have clearly marked target. Majority of targets will be 2 MOA and a few to test the ability of equipment and yourself. If you have never shot at a mover here is your chance, we will have at least 1 on site possibility for more.

Hunters will be shuttled into the hunting area, so plan accordingly as access to vehicles will not be available during the match. Contingency for poor weather conditions is to hike into the hunting area which would be approximately 1 mile. As a 10-stage event, the maximum round count will be 40-80 rounds depending on 1st round impacts vs 2nd round impacts/misses. There will be a 100 yd zero board, but no extended distance, so please proof your dope before you come.

There are no divisions or classes.

All rifles used to compete in the SIG SAUER HUNTER GAMES series shall weigh in at 16lbs or less with all dedicated support equipment attached. Rifle consists of barrel, muzzle devices, trigger, action, stock/chassis, scope, and bipod (if used). A sling is no longer included in the weight, since it is used for safely carrying a rifle, and we want to encourage safe moving between stages.

Rifle mounted electronics: Due to the surge of consumer video equipment availability, passive rifle mounted electronics used for video recording which are mounted on a rifle system will not be included in the weight of the rifle. Assistive electronic devices such as E-data cards, hard mounted range finders, or timers, etc which aid the user during the stage time, will be included in the overall rifle weight.

At the start of the stage, the rifle should not have a magazine loaded (this is a safety consideration to prevent loaded firearms outside the shooting area).

There is no minimum power factor requirement, as seen in the two-day NRL Hunter Series.

There are no minimum caliber requirements, however calibers may not exceed a 30 cal and must have a Muzzle Velocity maximum of 3275 fps.

Please read the complete set of rules HERE.
