2022 Washita Showdown

MATCH RESULTS

Range Location: Lindsay, OK

Match will be a true field style match with targets from 180-900 yards all based on shots that you would take in the field while hunting. No extraordinary skills will be needed to shoot this match.  Normal target acquisitions and ranging skills are all that will be needed.
 
Match will be apprx 128 rounds, plus bring whatever you need to confirm Zero, and 4-5 extra to get powerfactor.
 

We expect some freezing precipitation, however our ground temperatures are pretty high, so it won’t likely last on the roads. We’re not expecting any precipitation Friday – Sunday, but IT WILL BE COLD. Dress accordingly.

Lunch will not be provided during match, but we will serve a hot meal after both days of shooting.

Schedule

 

Friday, February 4

  • Check-In Location Coordinates: View on Apple Maps
  • ROs who are competing, arrive at Match Location for Shooter Brief at 8:00AM and start shooting at 8:30/9:00AM
  • Competitor Check-In is 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM; arrive at Check-In Location. Competitors will complete liability waiver, get rifle inspected and weighted, get velocity checked and determine powerfactor.
    • Allow at least 15 minutes to complete this check-in process, so don’t show up right at 3:30pm and expect to get fully checked-in and to get your powerfactor factor recorded (which is your tie-breaker). Don’t be late.
  • There will be a 100 yd zero, with a few targets out to 900 yds.
  • Receive your match T-Shirt

Saturday, February 5

  • Match Location Coordinates: View on Apple Maps
    • Go to Match Location, which is different from Friday’s Check-in Location.
    • Upon entry to the property, please proceed slowly about a mile roughly north west of the residence you pass. This is a working cattle ranch, please be aware of livestock.
  • Safety Brief – 8:00 AM
  • Ready on Stages – 8:30 AM
  • No Lunch in middle of match, Bring Your Own Snacks (think like a hunter in-field)
  • Plan for 10 Stages
  • Hot Meal Provided After Stages are Completed

Sunday, February 6

  • Ready on Stages – 8:00 AM
  • No Lunch in middle of match, Bring Your Own Snacks (think like a hunter in-field)
  • Plan for 6 Stages
  • Hot Meal Provided After Stages are Completed
  • Awards/Prizes, then be on your way home
