Welcome to the 2023 Hornady Precision Hunter Challenge event located in scenic Eastern Utah at the renowned North Springs Shooting Complex!
North Springs has been home to many national-level shooting events and its reputation as a venue, speaks for itself. It is harbored in the unique landscapes south east of Price, Utah. Eastern Utah is inhabited by Rocky Mountain Elk, Mule Deer, and Pronghorn. This event is an opportunity to work on hunting situation shots, where Hunters may expect natural terrain obstacles and thick cedars to navigate around and find shooting positions.
This hunting simulated event will consist of 20-22 stages, so prepare accordingly. Round count will be 80-176, depending on your skill level completing each stage with either 1st round impacts, vs misses/2nd round impacts, but bring extra for getting velocity/PF for your tiebreaker, and zero’ing your rifle. The average target distance will be 375 yds, but expect anywhere from approx 200-895 yds, and angled shots between 0-10°.
Expect some hiking/walking to stages.
Water will be provided on stages.
On check-in/weigh-in day (Friday June 16th), we will have onsite vendors set up to demo products. Come check them out as this is a great time to get your hands on and demo the products they offer.

Team Division is for Teams consisting of 2 individuals. Scores will be the sum of both team member’s scores (possible 16 points per team per stage). Teams will be allotted a total of 6 minutes per stage, instead of the individual’s 4 minutes. If one team member is disqualified from competing the second team member may continue to compete, but not for score. Team member #1 must complete the stage or pass, and unload and show clear, before team member #2 may load and begin firing. Once team member #2 loads to begin the stage, team member #1 may not load again.
