2022 GRAND SLAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Location: Hammett, Idaho

Match Fee: $300 Individuals, $600 Teams NO REFUNDS

This is the Grand Slam to the 2022 season for the NRL Hunter. This Grand Slam Championship is set up to mimic pressure situations of a Hunt. The terrain is a rocky desert hillside on the banks of the Snake River.

Target engagements will be between 100 and 1000 yards. It will include a minimum round count of 80 and maximum of 160, depending on 1st round impacts or 2nd round impacts, but more rounds are needed for chronograph, sight-in, etc.

This match will be run outside, and as such will have possible dangers to include: Heat, Falls, Snake bites, fires, etc. Please be aware and come prepared. There will be no fires allowed anywhere for this match. All cigarettes must be policed. We are excited to run the Grand Slam, and want to have an awesome match.

August 19: 12PM to 5PM Sight in and Demo Stages. We will weigh and chronograph your rifle this day. We will also have demos available from multiple rifle manufacturers with live fire involved. You will want to come check this out. There will be multiple vendors setup with their equipment.

We will have free on site emergency medical training.

Independence Training will be sending Adal and Darrell to teach field medical concepts. At check-in, they will be at a table teaching about modern field trauma concepts and modern med kit contents. After check-in, they will be teaching a 2 hour official Stop The Bleed certification course – no one has to stay for the entire course, but if you do, you’ll get a certification out of it. During the two days of the competition, Adal and Darrell will be working a side stage where participation is voluntary (but highly recommended!) – shooters will be asked to assess a wounded hunter and explain the best treatment. This stage is expected to take 2-3 minutes, between shooting stages, and every participant will be entered into a drawing to win 1 of 3 NRL Lightweight Medical Kits, designed by Independence Training. Additional kits will be available on the prize table, and will also be for sale through the NRL Hunter staff.

August 20th and 21st are the match days, with a varied and exciting course of fire on the Beautiful Snake River in Hammett, Idaho. We have a COF setup with 180 degrees of fire around a central Camp location. All stages will be blind engagements, with a 2/1/dead scoring system. It will be hot, so dress accordingly, and be prepared. After the match completion, we will go to the Elmore County Fairgrounds for the Awards.
