2022 Caldwell Little Hunt on the Prairie

The Caldwell Little Hunt on the Prairie will be a 3 day shooting event for hunters and competitors of all skill levels. We wish to Thank Caldwell Shooting Supplies for being our 2022 Title Sponsor.

Friday match check in will include free side matches open to all registered shooters and Range Officers. Test your skills with Archery, Rifle, and Shotgun side matches. Firearms and ammunition will be supplied as these vendors demonstrate their products. You will have a chance to win the equipment being used as well as a 20 bird pheasant hunt, at our hosting facility Chase The Adventure. Caldwell shooting Supplies, Expedition Archery and other vendors will be on site, 11:00am to 5:00pm. 5:30pm will be a mandatory shooter meeting at the Lodge. A 100 yard zero range will be open during check in.

Saturday the match begins at 8:00am, shooters will be divided in 2 groups (East range and North range) and sent to the 2 shooting areas. There you will shoot 8 stages on Saturday. Competitors will find, range, and engage targets in real hunting scenarios. Some of these scenarios will be based upon real life hunting experiences from our Match Director Jim See. If you are a hunter with hunting gear you are eligible to compete.

Sunday we will again start at 8:00am, shooters will flip flop ranges and shoot 8 new stages. The day will conclude with an Awards Banquet and dinner catered by Dale at the Chase the Adventure lodge.

The Match will require up to 128 rounds of ammunition.

Decorah Iowa has numerous hotels and campgrounds available.
